About the masterclass
This is a masterclass for advanced-practice creatives, who have three or more professional credits.
The selected participants will be sent four Chekhov scenes in advance and be asked to familiarise themselves with them. The four directors will each be asked to bring a first ‘hunch’ for their scene, and stage it rapidly with the pool of actors in the course of the workshop. Krymov will then respond to the material shown.
If you are not a participant actor/director you can also learn from Krymov’s process as an observer. There are 25 observer tickets which will be released in September.
How to take part
Participant places
If you would like to participate in the Krymov Lab as an actor or director, please fill in the short application for a participation spot. The final ten participants will be selected by the Krymov Lab team, and you will be told whether you have secured a spot by the 2nd September.
The deadline is 27 August.
Please note, however, that applications may close earlier than advertised, dependent on the volume of submissions, and in line with our small team’s capacity.
This is to ensure that all applicants can be informed of the success of their submission in due time.
In view of this, we recommend submitting applications as soon as possible.
Observer places
25 pay-what-you-can observer tickets will also be available for the event, which will be publicly released on the 5th September.
Any applicants who have not been successful in securing a participation spot will have exclusive access to early release observer tickets.
